Blijf in je kot!

Sat Nov 29, 2008, 1:43 AM
On the 27th of November, I participated in a project called 'Blijf in je kot!' (Stay in your dorm!). The concept was that students would open up their dorms for artists to intervene. Between 16PM and 11PM this thursday, the dorms were open for visitors. With an average of 120 visitors per dorm and a total of 1200 we can say it was a succes. In my gallery you find pictures of the placing of my work in one of the dorms. A series of 10 drawings (35 x 38 cm), wooden figures and three little wooden frameworks.

Moly_x

Tue Jul 22, 2008, 7:04 AM
A couple of times I stumbled upon pictures on Flickr of wonderful Japanese folded moleskines, full of drawings made by a bunch of different artists from around the globe. Moly_x is a project that was started by Marty Harris. Since then, it has grown. Now there exist a lot of Moleskine Exchange groups, all containing 4 to 6 artists.

Each artist will set off with a small Japanese (accordian) folded Moleskine. Creating a drawing, collage, or painting, then send on to the next artist. Each artist will draw on a spread (2 or 3 pages) then send it on to the next artist. When the artists book is filled, it will be returned to the owner with images created by artist around the world. Each artist has a month to make an entry. The outcome will be a pleasant and surprising adventure, as artists are encouraged to interact and merge their art with others.

I'd love to join this and start an exchange group as well. Therefore, I'm looking for interested artists. It would be nice if we could create a group that crosses borders and contains artists with inspiring work that can interact with the work of other members. So if you're interested, feel free to leave a comment or contact me on charlotte@allesstinkteenbeetje.be.

For more information check out [link]

[I found 5 interested artists so the group is full! Hangdog and twentywaystosee, I'll contact you once I'm back home from holidays (around the 10th of August). If you read this, please send your real name and address to charlotte@allesstinkteenbeetje.be so that I can contact the main Moly_x group (when I'm back) and get the exchanging started!]

Polar bee

Sun Jun 15, 2008, 9:19 AM
:iconambird:'s contest on bees and polar bears has ended. She limited the thirty-six entries she received to eighteen and now it's time to vote! There are a lot of lovely entries, so make sure you choose your favourite and give it the chance to win a lovely price. To vote you must go to ambird's profile and leave a comment on her last journal with the letter of the entry you are voting for.

Ps: If you want to add another reason to my previous journal titled "six reasons why my week couldn't get much better", you should vote C (for Charlotte) :)
